Husband and wife team, Bill & Lynn Morris, travel to Kenya twice a year to help young children and babies in schools and orphanages in Kenya. Since 2004 they have raised over £80,000, and donated everything from desks and scholastic equipment to electricity and new classrooms!
Bill contacted Luke Price at InXpress Wrexham to ask if this was something as a local company could support. Luke explains, “After a meeting with Bill we decided that we would help arrange a shipment of a large box to be sent to Kenya as the picture shows. The clothing which were football kits have now been received by the local contact of Bill’s and have been passed to the children.”
But the appeal of this charity was not just about sending clothes over, “Upon our first meeting, Bill also mentioned they offer sponsorship of the making of a school desk. This seemed like such a simple and practical idea, we knew we wanted to do our bit, and so now we have our own InXpress Wrexham sponsored school desk in Kenya! We will continue to work with Bill and Lynn to see if there is any more we can do to support their fantastic charity.”
