InXpress franchisee named one of the UK’s Great British Franchisees

21st July 2021

InXpress franchisees have worked hard over the last 18 months to support customers, old and new, meet the demands of a new way of doing business. The success of InXpress, and the success of customers, is very much a result of the dedication of our franchisees. Which is why we’re pleased to announce one of our top franchise owners, Stuart Vant, has received one of the UK’s Great British Franchisees Awards, from Which Franchise.

Receiving UK-wide recognition, means so much to Stuart, who opened InXpress Cambridge in 2019. “Winning this award has shown I’m more than capable of running a very successful company, in spite of the confidence issues I’ve struggled with over the last few years. I believe we’ll springboard even further, hitting business highs I only dreamt of. I’m so thankful to have my amazing family with me on this journey – especially my darling wife, Terrie, who is an absolute rock. Our ability to work together, and success we’re achieving, helps us achieve personal goals, too; like our new beautiful holiday apartment, by Ramsgate Royal Harbour. Without the knowledge-bank of InXpress Head Office, and the support of my business coach, I would never have surpassed my business goals.”

The Great British Franchisee Awards, is a new awards system focusing on those helping to make UK franchising a success – franchisees. The awards recognise the outstanding performance of franchisees, regardless of the size of their business, or the sector they work in.

Stuart, along with other franchisees throughout the franchise industry was judged by a prestigious panel: Suki Dehal, Lloyds Bank, Head of Franchising; Aman Nirwal, BDO, Senior Key Account Manager Franchising; Euan Fraser, AMO Consulting; and Derrick Simpson, Companion of the British Franchise Association. As one of the judges, Aman, says, “I thoroughly enjoyed reviewing the applications. It was refreshing to see how businesses of all sizes, from various sectors, coped and adapted in response to Covid-19.”

Together, the judging panel assessed applicants’:

  • Franchisee Stability and Business Experience The business’ size, location, duration and profitability
  • Driving Business Growth Consistency in performance over the years, their attitude and drive to achieve results
  • Retaining Staff How franchisees who employ staff, develop and retain them
  • Customer Satisfaction By reviewing customer feedback, and how they encourage repeat business
  • Community Involvement How franchisees interact with their local community.
  • Inspired Leadership How franchisees lead their business
  • Franchise Involvement How involved and engaged franchisees are with the rest of their networks

“The fact Stuart stood out to the judging panel really doesn’t surprise us,” explains Jon White, Country Manager for InXpress UK. “We’ve watched him drive his business forward, achieving meteoric growth, by diligently providing a service focused on exceeding his customers’ expectations. What he’s achieved, since opening his franchise in 2019, is a phenomenal example of his determination. This award just goes to show Stuart’s all-round contribution to franchising as a whole, and to InXpress specifically.”

In the final words of the winner, “Miracles appear, if you believe in yourself and surround yourself with a good team.”
