The new board members were announced at the bfa Annual General Meeting in December 2018, and our Franchise Sales Director, Ben Kirby, has been announced as an elected full board member!

Exciting news for our network at the end of last year, as our Franchise Sales Director, Ben Kirby was announced as an elected full board member. Ben was elected alongside other prestigious members of the franchise industry to serve on the Board for the next two years.

Becoming a board member enables Ben to ensure the bfa provide the best support to members and also represent the franchise sector at the highest levels. There are various sections of the board, from the Board of Directors, Full Member Representatives (of which Ben is one), Associate Member Representatives, Affiliate Member Representatives and Franchisees Representatives. 

Ben Kirby Graduated with Honors in Mechanical Engineering and Manufacturing Systems in 1998 and started his InXpress career in 2006, when he became an InXpress franchisee, leading him to become Franchise Sales Director for InXpress UK in 2011. He developed the franchise network, sales and managed the relationship with vendors. More recently, he has focused on developing the franchise network both here and across Europe and is a multi-unit franchisee with InXpress.

“I’m really looking forward to taking my place on the board. Working for the franchisor and being a franchisee gives me a unique insight into the sector and I’m excited to help share these insights with the bfa and represent franchising in this way,” said Ben.

Ben’s election onto the board is a positive step for the InXpress network and the way in which it continues to grow and develop. The bfa’s recognition is highly regarded within the industry and all positions are nominated and elected by members, ensuring the Association’s direction is driven by its membership.
